Workshops at Sandhill

Learn the art of block printing with local artist Brian Fritz! In this workshop you will be taught the tools and techniques of block printing while creating a set of your own prints to hang up or give to friends and family. All materials are included, just bring yourself and your creativity!

Join Scott of Fox Hollow Acres this spring to learn about integrative gardening!
This one hour lecture will cover the basics of several important aspects of a low-cost and effective approach to natural and organic gardening. Topics will include:
🌱 Scott’s approach through experience and education vs mainstream ideology in natural framing. Integrating conventional and traditional forms of organic growing with old school techniques.
🤔 Debunking myths of gardening and removing commercially produced product dependence.
🍄🟫 Self sufficiency of fertilizer, pesticides, fungicides, microorganisms and more.
🌎 Soil health and the role of microorganisms.
🍂 Compost teas, liquid fertilizer and microbe solutions, plant nutrition requirements through the seasons.
🌱 Container gardening, vegan gardening, environmental impact of ingredients and growing media.
Scott’s been a lifelong gardener growing both vegetables and flowers. With a background in science and chemistry, Scott farmed on a commercial scale for 15 years using both conventional and organic methods while studying and teaching various farming techniques for the last 10 years.
